KARAR has been in continuous operation since 1989. We provide quality, professionally taught, challenging and enjoyable dance classes to the students of Narrabri shire, N-West N.S.W. Current students come from a wide area around Narrabri, including Burren Jct, Wee Waa, Bellata and Boggabri.
Dance Genres include Classical Ballet; Neoclassical; Jazz; Contemporary; Modern; Demi-Character/ Dance Drama; National Character and Creative. There are Exam-level classes for the more serious students and fun, introductory classes for Beginners. We also offer special Pre-school Creative classes, and 'Multi-style' classes for those wanting a relaxed, non-exam option with a range of steps and styles introduced.
Classical Ballet is the core focus, as it forms the base for most other dance genres. We follow the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus (R.A.D.)
We use A.T.O.D. (Australian Teachers of Dancing) syllabus work for Jazz , Contemporary and some beginner Classical styles, and exams can be arranged in these.
Many students choose to sit for their R.A.D. Exams each year. We have a 100% pass rate, with the majority of students also gaining Merit or Distinction gradings each year.
